The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rommedahl throws an overhand right that lands on Aldrete's shoulder, as Aldrete tries to avoid the shot.
Aldrete scores with a hook to the body. Rommedahl takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rommedahl takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Rommedahl gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rommedahl takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nice defenses there by Aldrete.
Rommedahl misses with the combination.
Rommedahl fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aldrete manages to avoid it.
Aldrete ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Harald Rommedahl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aldrete circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aldrete dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Aldrete comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Aldrete moves out of range of the strikes.
Aldrete connects with a right hand. Rommedahl shakes it off.

Aldrete lands a left and a right that send Rommedahl crashing to the mat, dazed. Aldrete thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
