Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Suan Paredes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Schwalle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schwalle has chosen Max Payne theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Oliver Schwalle told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwalle throws a hook but Paredes blocks it.
Paredes moves out of range of the strikes.
Schwalle rushes Paredes and presses him up against the cage.
Schwalle is looking to control Paredes's arms but Paredes gets an underhook and turns him. Now Schwalle has his back to the cage.
Schwalle fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Paredes is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Schwalle pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Schwalle pushes Paredes back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Schwalle bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Paredes's head backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Paredes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Schwalle's guard now.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Schwalle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Paredes wants to hold on but Schwalle pushes him away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Schwalle tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schwalle is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paredes.

Oh Paredes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schwalle lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Schwalle dips a shoulder and cracks Paredes with a mighty uppercut! Paredes falls back against the cage and Schwalle unloads with a barrage of strikes! Paredes is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Schwalle screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
