And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Benjamin Siegel!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siegel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Bolda with a jab.
Bolda misses with a wild combination.
Bolda missing with a left hand there. Siegel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Siegel lands a jab to Bolda's midsection.
Bolda blocks the body kick.
Bolda looks to throw the jab but Siegel is out of range.
Siegel thuds a left hand into Bolda's body.
Siegel goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bolda moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Siegel ducks under a wild hook from Bolda.

Siegel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bolda moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Siegel trying to control but Bolda is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bolda looking for a sweep. Not yet Bolda, not yet.

Bolda looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Siegel passes into half guard.
Siegel is keen to just control but Bolda is a slippery customer.
Bolda slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Bolda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Siegel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Siegel scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bolda is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Siegel rolls with it to try and escape but Bolda cranks on the arm and Siegel is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Josh Bolda!
A relieved looking Josh Bolda thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
