Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jambo Alvez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrzej Golotowski!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Golotowski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Golotowski connects with a high kick.
Andrzej Golotowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Golotowski moves away.
Golotowski lunges at Alvez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alvez's hand.

Alvez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Alvez is chipping away with strikes.
Alvez controls the position from side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jambo Alvez just wasn't active enough.

Golotowski throws a right and a left that both miss.
Golotowski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Golotowski throws a right hand that Alvez ducks under and follows up with a left that Alvez also avoids with ease.

Golotowski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Alvez shoots in and gets a takedown into Golotowski's guard.
Alvez postures up in Golotowski's guard and throws a big left but Golotowski blocks it.

Alvez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jambo Alvez just wasn't active enough.

Alvez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Alvez lands in his opponent's guard.
Alvez won't allow Golotowski to sweep him here.
Golotowski is looking to stand up but Alvez isn't so interested in that idea.
Alvez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Alvez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Golotowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Golotowski has had enough of the clinch but Alvez keeps him there for the moment.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Alvez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Golotowski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Alvez is looking to take a break and control but Golotowski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Golotowski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alvez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Golotowski throws a jab but it's blocked by Alvez.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Alvez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alvez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Golotowski sprawls well. Golotowski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alvez gets slowly back to his feet.
Andrzej Golotowski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Alvez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

I would just about give that final round to Andrzej Golotowski.

Jambo Alvez tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
