Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vergil Cry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Wilczy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cry drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Cry pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Cry closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wilczy tries to roll over but Cry keeps him under control.

Cry is looking for a kimura but Wilczy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cry to get the leverage.

Cry wants to work for an arm triangle but Wilczy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Cry is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cry wants to take a breather but Wilczy is having none of it.
Cry wants to pass to mount but Wilczy is defending the position.
Cry works his way into side control.

Cry trying to control the action but Wilczy is working from the bottom.
Wilczy prevents Cry from moving into mount.

Cry is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wilczy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Cry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cry is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wilczy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wilczy tries to bench press Cry off him but Cry keeps the position.
Cry advances to mount.
Cry looking to control but Wilczy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Cry has control of Wilczy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wilczy regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Wilczy is desperately trying to improve his position but Cry has a good base and remains in mount.

Wilczy defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cry.

Cry is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wilczy has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wilczy!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cry is on top in guard.

Cry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilczy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wilczy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cry has gone for a leg lock! Wilczy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cry's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wilczy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Cry looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilczy is one step ahead there.

Cry is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Wilczy frees his head nicely. Oh but Cry has switched to an armbar! Wilczy is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
