Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroud's entrance music is Vallenfyre - Iconoclast. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Stroud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 14 - 2, fighting out of London, Anton Walter!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stroud tries to avoid it but Walter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stroud to the ground. Stroud escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stroud throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Walter to counter with a crisp jab.
Stroud stuffs the takedown attempt from Walter. Walter gets slowly back to his feet.
Good exchange - Stroud coming out on top.
Stroud defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Walter.
Tom Stroud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Walter.
Walter checks a low kick from Stroud.
Stroud lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Walter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stroud lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Walter is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walter moves in looking to clinch but Stroud pushes him off.
Stroud throws a hook but Walter avoids it easily.
Walter shoots in and bounces Stroud off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Stroud looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Walter throwing strikes from guard but Stroud blocks nicely.
Walter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Walter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stroud holds on and takes a little breather.
Walter throws a big elbow that misses.
Walter wants to pass the guard but Stroud is keeping the position.
Walter postures up and lands a big shot to Stroud's brow.
Walter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stroud thows a left - swing and a miss!
Walter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Walter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Stroud is looking for a sweep. Walter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stroud is trying to stand.
Walter is keen to just control but Stroud is a slippery customer.
Walter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Walter trying to control the action but Stroud is working from the bottom.

Walter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stroud knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Walter is trying to control the action in half guard but Stroud is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Walter passes to full mount!
Stroud is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stroud is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stroud tries to lock up and control but Walter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Stroud is bucking up trying to escape but Walter cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Stroud is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Walter punching from mount but Stroud doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Walter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stroud is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Walter locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Stroud is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Anton Walter!
