Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rooney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rooney has chosen Belfast Boy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Jaa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Rooney! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rooney gets the takedown into side control. Rooney looks up at the clock and then as Jaa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rooney smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jaa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rooney has just dragged him back down to the mat. Sloppy strikes there by Rooney. Rooney is looking to take a break and control but Jaa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Jaa tries to escape but Rooney is in control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Rooney tries to move to mount but Jaa blocks the move with his legs. Rooney lands a nice forearm strike. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rooney in side control, throwing shots but Jaa defends. Jaa is trying to buck Rooney off. Rooney working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rooney stands up and we're back to a striking position. Rooney shoots in but no luck this time. Jaa throws a body punch but Rooney moves out of range. Jaa is looking to clinch but Rooney is avoiding it.
Rooney is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jaa's half guard. Rooney wants to pass the guard but Jaa is defending well. Jaa wants to get back to his feet. Rooney has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rooney scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rooney throwing shots but Jaa is blocking nicely. Rooney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jaa keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jaa is trying to stand back up but Rooney is controlling him
Rooney is trying to control. Jaa wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rooney working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rooney missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rooney looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jaa pushes Rooney off looking to stand but Rooney dives back in and keeps control.
Jaa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rooney stops Jaa from getting back to his feet.
Rooney wants to pass to mount but Jaa is defending the position. Rooney seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rooney moves into full mount! Jaa won't be happy about that! Jaa squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rooney with a couple of short strikes. Rooney unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Jaa wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Rooney celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Rooney! An intense looking Ryan Rooney took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Fair play to Tony who gave me a good fight but I felt good leading up to this fight and knew it was a fight I could win. Hopefully I'll continue to work my way up the rankings. Cheers and gone!'.
