Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malone comes into the arena with Jimmy Hendrix - Vodoo Child blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stalks Malone and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Malone's face. Malone staggers backwards, shaken.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Malone misses with a hook
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Malone pushes him off.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Malone there.
Malone misses the jab.
Jones takes one on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Malone lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jones tries to clinch but Malone is having none of it.
Malone darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Malone avoids the head kick by Jones.
Malone rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Jones counters by clinching up.
Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Malone keeps him there for the moment.

Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Malone won't allow it.
Malone lands a shoulder strike.
Malone lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Malone uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Jones looking to throw knees to the head but Malone is blocking nicely.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Jones throws a knee to the head but misses.
Malone has Jones pressed against the cage, preventing Jones from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Malone stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Jones looks winded!
Malone pushes Jones against the cage. Malone is working some dirty boxing. Malone pushes off with a quick right hook! Jones goes down! Jones tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Malone moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
