Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Shawayahamish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay James! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James shoots in for a takedown but Shawayahamish shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. James looks for a takedown but Shawayahamish sprawls well. Shawayahamish dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Shawayahamish's head and hops out. A telegraphed takedown attempt from James is defended easily by Shawayahamish. Mason Shawayahamish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay James. James tries a head kick but it misses.
James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shawayahamish circles away. James stuffs the takedown attempt from Shawayahamish. Shawayahamish gets slowly back to his feet. Shawayahamish shoots in looking for a takedown. James tries to sprawl out of it but Shawayahamish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. James manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Shawayahamish fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's one minute gone in the round. James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Shawayahamish manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shawayahamish moves into the clinch. Shawayahamish looking to throw knees to the head but James is blocking nicely.
James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
James shoots in for a double leg but Shawayahamish sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James. James shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shawayahamish as he jumps to the side. Shawayahamish shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with James but James pushes him off and we're back to square one. James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shawayahamish throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shawayahamish off to one side. Shawayahamish is breathing heavily. James dives in and scores a takedown into Shawayahamish's guard. James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Shawayahamish lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for James! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shawayahamish avoids the attempt from James to control. Shawayahamish stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Shawayahamish shoots in looking for a takedown but James manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shawayahamish's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shawayahamish tries to clinch but James is having none of it. James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mason Shawayahamish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shawayahamish misses with a hook. James ducked under it nicely. Shawayahamish tries to score a power double leg takedown but James sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shawayahamish somewhat. No luck for Shawayahamish with that takedown attempt. James instigates a clinch. James landing some nice looking knees to the body.
James drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Shawayahamish gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shawayahamish looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. James decides to pull guard. Shawayahamish wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. James has his foot on Shawayahamish's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shawayahamish works his way back into a safe position though. Shawayahamish trying to control but James is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shawayahamish avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James working for a triangle but Shawayahamish defends it easily.

Jay James dominated that round. That's time! Shawayahamish's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
James throws a sloppy head kick and Shawayahamish moves out of range easily. Shawayahamish pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Shawayahamish wants to clinch. James tries to close the distance and clinch but Shawayahamish swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shawayahamish. Shawayahamish shoots in but no luck this time. Good leg kick by James there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shawayahamish pushes James up against the cage in a clinch. James pulls guard. James is trying to keep Shawayahamish in close.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Shawayahamish wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. Shawayahamish slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay James was stalling too much, according to the referee. Shawayahamish shoots for a double leg takedown but James sprawls well. He's pushed Shawayahamish's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Shawayahamish. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James lands with a kick to the temple. Shawayahamish shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A head kick misses from Shawayahamish.

Shawayahamish misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shawayahamish tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shawayahamish to the ground. Shawayahamish escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. James pushes Shawayahamish up against the cage in a clinch. Shawayahamish is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but James is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Shawayahamish's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Excellent takedown into side control there by James. Sloppy strikes there by James. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Shawayahamish's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Shawayahamish is not content to let James control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James looking to control but instead Shawayahamish has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Shawayahamish throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jay James seems to be getting the better of the standup. That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Shawayahamish looks like he's thinking about clinching though. James is looking to clinch but Shawayahamish is avoiding it.
James shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. James bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Shawayahamish is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, James asserts his dominance and retains side control. Shawayahamish wants to control but James postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Shawayahamish sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. James scores with a couple of short elbows. Jay James has got the better of the ground game so far. James wants to stand but Shawayahamish has his arm trapped. Shawayahamish is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. James working the body and head with strikes.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Shawayahamish. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
