Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy The Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony Jackson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Kid closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard.
The Kid postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of The Kid, into his guard.
Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but The Kid is retaining full guard.
The Kid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Kid is on top in guard.
The Kid drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jackson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jackson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jackson!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The Kid is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Jackson frees his head nicely. Oh but The Kid has switched to an armbar! Jackson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After the fight, Jimmy The Kid was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
