Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Dirt!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds tries to clinch there but Dirt circles away.

Dirt gets a double leg takedown into Reynolds's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Reynolds wants to sweep but no luck.
Reynolds is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Dirt is looking to pass into half guard but Reynolds pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Reynolds is in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dirt keeping moving, preventing Reynolds from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reynolds throws a big elbow that misses.
Dirt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reynolds.

Reynolds is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Reynolds has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Reynolds is looking to stall here but Dirt recovers full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reynolds postures up in Dirt's guard and throws a big left but Dirt blocks it.
Reynolds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dirt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Reynolds dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dirt is stalling here. Reynolds is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dirt seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Reynolds has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Reynolds wants to control but Dirt is keeping him busy.

Reynolds lands an elbow.
Reynolds throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Reynolds in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Reynolds has hold of Dirt's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dirt tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Reynolds cranks the arm and Dirt screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dirt, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). James Reynolds!
