Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner comes into the arena with Take Em Out- Rev Theory blaring out of the sound system. Oliver Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Oliver Smith! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith has his takedown stuffed and Turner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that. Turner wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy. Smith is trying to escape the position but Turner is controlling the position. Turner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working. Turner controls the position. Turner advances to full mount. Turner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Smith wants to hold on but Turner pushes him away. Turner jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Smith is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Smith and Turner has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith tries to improve position but can't. Turner wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy. Turner controls the position. Smith gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Turner in particular looking to stall. Turner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Smith wants to control but Turner is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nice strikes from Turner there. Smith works his way to full guard. Good work. Turner trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner pushes down on Smith's leg and manages to get into half guard. Turner looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Turner trying to control from half guard but Smith is working away. Turner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Turner wants to take a breather but Smith is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner working over Smith with some ground and pound. Smith looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Turner performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Smith is trying to maintain the position but Turner is very close to passing his half guard. Smith manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Turner is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smith is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smith has escaped and now he's on top! Turner keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Turner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner postures up and lands a big shot to Smith's brow. Turner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Smith wants to get back to his feet but Turner is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Turner won't allow Smith to sweep him here. Turner slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Turner trying to control the position but Smith is working away. Turner lands a few punches from side control. Turner lands a decent elbow from side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smith, who protects the arm well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Turner wasn't doing enough on the ground. Smith shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Smith tries for a takedown but Turner circles away easily and Turner counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard. Jason Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Smith.

Turner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Smith's head. Turner tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turner landing with the ground and pound. Turner trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Jason Turner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Turner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Smith looking to hit a scissor sweep but Turner is one step ahead there. Smith has momentary wrist control but Turner slips an elbow through the middle. Turner content to stall in guard here.

Turner is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Turner is looking for a kimura but Smith is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Turner to get the leverage. Turner trying to control from half guard but Smith is working away. Smith tries to roll over but Turner keeps him under control. Turner is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Smith is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jason Turner! In his post fight interview, Jason Turner started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
