Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Yossarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dec Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dec Dogg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Yossarian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dec Dogg!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dogg circles away from the clinch attempt.

Dogg shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dogg was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dogg tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Dogg fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Yossarian is trying to control Dogg's posture but Dogg avoids it.

Dogg wants to stand but Yossarian has his arm trapped.

Dogg goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Yossarian rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dogg's guard! Nice work there by Yossarian!

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Yossarian wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Dogg fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Yossarian is pulling down on Dogg's head to control his posture.
Dogg tries to stand but Yossarian is controlling from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Yossarian holds on and takes a little breather.

John Yossarian has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Yossarian scores with a jab. Dogg acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Dogg swats away the attempt to clinch by Yossarian.

Dogg closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yossarian to the mat! Yossarian manages to get full guard.
Dogg passes Yossarian's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dogg tries to stand but can't do so whilst Yossarian controls his leg.
Yossarian is trying is best to control the position here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dogg tries to stand and escape but Yossarian is controlling the position.
Dogg wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Yossarian uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dogg wants to stand and escape but instead Yossarian has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Dogg wants to stand up but Yossarian is controlling him.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dogg utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dec Dogg will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Yossarian throws a nice inside leg kick.
Dogg walks forward, straight into a front kick from Yossarian.
Yossarian swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Yossarian throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dogg stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dogg dodges the punch combination from Yossarian.

The fighters circling - Yossarian throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yossarian looks to land a right hand but Dogg moved out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Yossarian.
Yossarian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dogg swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dogg crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Yossarian - the referee stops the clock and Dogg gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Yossarian. Dogg manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Yossarian scores with a decent looking hook.
Yossarian feints and then cracks Dogg's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dogg down.
John Yossarian is winning the standup battle so far.
Dogg throws a right and a left that both miss.

This has been an exciting period of action!

John Yossarian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Yossarian scores with a hook to the body. Dogg takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Yossarian's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Yossarian duly obliges.
Yossarian throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Yossarian connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dogg momentarily.
Yossarian changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Good leg kick by Yossarian there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dogg's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Yossarian shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

A decent looking cross lands there for Yossarian.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dogg gets tackled into the cage by Yossarian. Yossarian maintains the clinch.
Yossarian gets through Dogg's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dogg wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yossarian has him pressed against the cage.

That's time! Yossarian's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dogg wants to stand but Yossarian is controlling his arm.
Yossarian tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dogg wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dogg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dogg tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Yossarian is trying to improve his position.
Yossarian gets back to half guard.
Dogg wants to stand up but Yossarian is controlling the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dogg connects with a nice short shot to Yossarian's temple.
Yossarian wants to control but Dogg is keeping busy.

The fighters are battling for position here. Yossarian manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

We're going to have a standup here because John Yossarian wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dogg walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Yossarian stuffs the takedown attempt from Dogg. Dogg gets slowly back to his feet.

Yossarian stuns Dogg with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Yossarian fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dogg.
A telegraphed right hand from Dogg misses the target.
Yossarian tries to close the distance and clinch but Dogg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Yossarian wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dogg has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Yossarian.

Yossarian lands with an uppercut that bounces Dogg off the cage and back into range.
Yossarian is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dogg can do to turn this around?
Dogg dives in and grabs Yossarian's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yossarian pushes down on Dogg's head and hops out.

John Yossarian showed his dominance in that final round.
