Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dhal Sim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mattia Nicoletti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sim comes into the arena with Otherside by Red Hot Chili Pepper blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sim keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mattia Nicoletti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sim misses with a low kick as Nicoletti jumps back.
Nicoletti looks for the body kick but Sim saw that one coming.
Nicoletti closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sim counters with a solid body kick.
Nicoletti forces Sim back against the cage and clinches.
Sim is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Sim misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Sim tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Sim fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nicoletti has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sim lands a head kick. Nicoletti smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Nicoletti throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sim connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sim, right into the meat.
Sim avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sim. That's going to slow Nicoletti down.
Nicoletti throws a leg kick that is checked
and Sim counters with a two punch combo.
Nice sprawl there from Sim as Nicoletti shoots in.
Sim lands a nice looking kick to the body. Nicoletti takes a step back to recover.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sim scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sim cracks Nicoletti with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nicoletti shoots for a double leg takedown but Sim sprawls well. He's pushed Nicoletti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

enabling Sim to counter with a crisp jab.

Sim keeps Nicoletti at a distance using the push kick.

Sim is looking to slow Nicoletti down with leg kicks.
Sim throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Nicoletti takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nicoletti fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dhal Sim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mattia Nicoletti.
Sim throws a right and a left that Nicoletti avoids nicely.
Nicoletti is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sim is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Nicoletti.
Sim fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Sim lands a head kick. Nicoletti smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sim. Nicoletti shrugs it off though.
Sim connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Sim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Sim buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

A nice leg kick lands there from Sim.
Nicoletti's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Nicoletti takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nicoletti misses with a head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sim lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nicoletti seems to have recovered his senses.
Nicoletti takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sim.
Sim lands a big head kick that sends Nicoletti tumbling to the mat! Sim takes a step backwards and waves Nicoletti back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Nicoletti on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sim. Sim obviously looking to wear him down.
Nicoletti has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Sim.
Sim connects with a solid leg kick.
Sim dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nicoletti. That did some damage!
Sim moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sim is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Sim connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Sim lands with an uppercut that bounces Nicoletti off the cage and back into range.
Sim cracks Nicoletti with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Nicoletti tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sim pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Nicoletti is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dhal Sim!
