The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald tries to keep at a distance but Duque has taken the fight into the clinch.
McDonald is working for takedown but Duque is calmly controlling the position for now.
McDonald wants a takedown but no success here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy McDonald. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McDonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duque scores with a three punch combo!
Duque tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and McDonald counters with a straight right hand.
McDonald ducks right into an uppercut from Duque.
McDonald is trying hard to land a takedown here. Duque sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Duque. McDonald does a little dance to reset his feet.
Duque throws a head kick that McDonald semi-blocks.

It looks like Tommy McDonald has been cut.
Duque looks for the body kick but McDonald saw that one coming.
McDonald tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Duque manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duque dips to his left and cracks McDonald with an uppercut!

McDonald is rocked!
Duque fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks McDonald square on the jaw! Damn, McDonald is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
