The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes throws a nice looking combination but Brito bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brito scores with a push kick.
Brito misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Menezes.

Menezes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Menezes tries for a takedown but Brito sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Menezes is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Brito is defending well.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Brito is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Brito wants to stand up but Menezes is controlling the position.
Brito really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Menezes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Menezes is staying active underneath Brito, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brito wants to pass to mount but Menezes is defending the position.

Brito breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brito tries to close the distance and clinch up but Menezes swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Brito throws a series of punches but Menezes avoids them all with ease.
Brito fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Menezes.
Menezes has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Brito.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Good leg kick by Brito there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Brito lands a big head kick that sends Menezes tumbling to the mat! Brito takes a step backwards and waves Menezes back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Menezes is rocked!
It looks like Eric Menezes has been cut.
Brito misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Menezes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brito is looking to clinch but Menezes is avoiding it.
Brito tries to clinch there but Menezes circles away.
Menezes seems to have got his legs back now.
Leidiano Jos Brito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Menezes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Brito lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Brito instigates a clinch.
Menezes blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leidiano Jos Brito dominated that round.

Brito rushes Menezes with punches - Menezes moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Menezes goes down! Brito follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
