Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Drago Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ritter is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Enter Sandman. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Blake Ritter enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Drago Kozlov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blake Ritter! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ritter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kozlov is fending him off so far but Ritter persists. Nope, Kozlov circles away and we're back to standing. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Kozlov. Kozlov misses with a looping right. Ritter shoots in looking for a takedown. Kozlov tries to sprawl out of it but Ritter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kozlov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ritter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kozlov throws a hook to the side of Ritter's head but Ritter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kozlov misses with a double jab.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kozlov is looking to clinch. Kozlov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ritter swats away the attempt to clinch by Kozlov. Ritter shoots in for a takedown but Kozlov shows good takedown defense. Drago Kozlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Ritter. Ritter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ritter tries to pass to full mount but Kozlov defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ritter working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Kozlov's thigh. Kozlov counters though and makes it back to full guard. Ritter preventing the sweep. Kozlov pulls Ritter in close to his closed guard and prevents Ritter from doing any damage or advancing position. Ritter trying to control but Kozlov is working from the bottom. Ritter wants to stand and escape but instead Kozlov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ritter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ritter has a closed guard, preventing Kozlov from standing up. Ritter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ritter is looking for a triangle but Kozlov pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ritter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ritter has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kozlov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ritter. Kozlov decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ritter to his feet. Ritter shoots in and drives through. Kozlov sprawls well. Kozlov keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Ritter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Kozlov cracks Ritter with a big right hand and Ritter goes down!

Ritter tries to bench press Kozlov off him but Kozlov keeps the position. Kozlov stands up and we're back to a striking position. Ritter is breathing heavily. Ritter tries to clinch but Kozlov moves away and Kozlov counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Ritter! Ritter is still in real trouble! Can Kozlov finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Ritter has a hand on Kozlov's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kozlov takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Ritter seems to have recovered his senses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kozlov looking to control and managing it successfully. Ritter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kozlov controlling the pace for now. Ritter wants to hold on but Kozlov pushes him away. Ritter is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kozlov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ritter is looking to escape. Ritter tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kozlov controlling the position easily from mount. Kozlov prevents Ritter from getting the reversal. Drago Kozlov dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Ritter tries for a takedown but Kozlov circles away easily and Kozlov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's one minute gone in the round. A jab-cross combination lands for Kozlov and sends Ritter crashing to the mat! Kozlov follows him down to the mat - Ritter regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Ritter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ritter tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Kozlov has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Kozlov controlling his opponent. Ritter tries to reverse the position but Kozlov maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kozlov controlling from the full mount. Ritter is trying to escape the mount.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kozlov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Drago Kozlov just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Kozlov tries to close the distance and clinch but Ritter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Blake Ritter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kozlov tries to clinch up. Kozlov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ritter with a poor takedown and Kozlov counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Drago Kozlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Ritter. Ritter decides to pull guard. Ritter keeping busy on the bottom but Kozlov has passed one foot through into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Drago Kozlov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kozlov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
