Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perrin Aybara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Country Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Country Rain told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Country Rain! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aybara throws a looping overhand right but Rain ducks down to avoid it. Rain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aybara defends it nicely. Aybara throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Perrin Aybara has been cut. Rain throws a leg kick but Aybara checks it. Rain lands a left and a right that send Aybara crashing to the mat, dazed. Rain thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aybara pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rain dives in and grabs Aybara's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aybara pushes down on Rain's head and hops out. Aybara closes the distance and clinches. Aybara lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Aybara lands a nice uppercut. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Aybara. Rain blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Aybara is working Rain over against the cage. Aybara is looking for a takedown. Aybara lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aybara softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A short left from Aybara. Rain is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Aybara is keeping busy. Aybara tries to work over Rain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Aybara blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Aybara presses Rain against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Aybara lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rain backwards. Still in the clinch, Aybara scores with a nice short uppercut. Rain looks winded! Aybara lands with a right to the head. Aybara lands with a short shot to the head. Nice body punch from Aybara - that landed with a thud.
Aybara cracks Rain with a nice body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aybara lands with a right to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aybara lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A left hand lands to the body for Aybara.

Aybara misses with a body kick. Aybara pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Aybara fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Aybara swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Aybara moves into the clinch. Rain has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aybara is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Perrin Aybara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Country Rain. Aybara lands a body punch in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Aybara creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Aybara lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rain backwards.

Rain is rocked! Aybara dips a shoulder and cracks Rain with a mighty uppercut! Rain falls back against the cage and Aybara unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rain is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Aybara screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Perrin Aybara!
