Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Sarpong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Kashpureff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kashpureff's choice of entrance music: Everyday I'm Hustilin. The key to victory for Jeffrey Sarpong has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeffrey Sarpong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Kashpureff!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarpong scores with a push kick.
Kashpureff tries to clinch up.
Sarpong shoots in looking for a takedown. Kashpureff tries to sprawl out of it but Sarpong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kashpureff manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sarpong scores with a head kick. Kashpureff tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Peter Kashpureff has been cut.
Sarpong dips to his left and cracks Kashpureff with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kashpureff walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kashpureff is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sarpong's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sarpong moves into full guard.
Kashpureff preventing the sweep.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kashpureff wants to stand but Sarpong has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kashpureff trying to control but Sarpong is working from the bottom.
Sarpong wants to stand and escape but Kashpureff is having none of it.
Sarpong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kashpureff gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sarpong pulls Kashpureff in close to his closed guard and prevents Kashpureff from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kashpureff really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sarpong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sarpong wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jeffrey Sarpong wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sarpong lands with a kick to the ribs.

Sarpong thuds his shin into the meat of Kashpureff's side.
Kashpureff looks winded!
Sarpong lands with a slapping head kick.
Sarpong darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sarpong lands a left and a right that send Kashpureff crashing to the mat, dazed. Sarpong thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kashpureff is rocked!
Crack! A monster head kick from Sarpong and Kashpureff falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Sarpong!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jeffrey Sarpong!
