Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel O Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jay West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel O Sullivan! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West fails in his attempt to clinch. West misses with the combination.
West tries to close the distance and clinch up but O Sullivan swats him away and circles back towards the center. West scores with the left hand. O Sullivan knows he should have avoided that one. West misses with a hook. West misses with a right hand and O Sullivan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by O Sullivan. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. O Sullivan passes into half guard. O Sullivan stalling. Let's hope that O Sullivan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! O Sullivan trying to pass the guard but West defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. West trying to hold on to O Sullivan's head to control him but O Sullivan postures up.
O Sullivan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel O Sullivan was stalling too much, according to the referee. West gets caught flat footed, as O Sullivan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. O Sullivan tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard. O Sullivan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. O Sullivan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Daniel O Sullivan wasn't active enough on the ground. West scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. West shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. O Sullivan checks the leg kick. West throws a right and a left that O Sullivan avoids nicely. O Sullivan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. This has been an exciting period of action! O Sullivan taking a breather here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West is trying to control O Sullivan's posture but O Sullivan avoids it. O Sullivan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with West. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. You can see the frustration on West's face as O Sullivan controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel O Sullivan was stalling too much, according to the referee. O Sullivan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching West on his heels. He'll look to pass West's guard now, I'm sure. O Sullivan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Daniel O Sullivan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. West throws a combination but it was largely blocked by O Sullivan. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. West misses with a low kick as O Sullivan jumps back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel O Sullivan dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
O Sullivan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. O Sullivan shoots in and gets a takedown into West's guard. O Sullivan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. O Sullivan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. West is keeping the position for now. O Sullivan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A head kick misses from West. West gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so O Sullivan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay West. That's going to take a lot out of him. O Sullivan wants to pass the guard but West is keeping the position. O Sullivan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. O Sullivan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

O Sullivan looks to land a combination but West avoids it well. O Sullivan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. West tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. O Sullivan is in West's guard. O Sullivan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Sullivan tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard. West can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as O Sullivan controls the pace. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

O Sullivan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. O Sullivan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

O Sullivan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Sullivan tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and West is able to avoid easily. O Sullivan avoids the body shot from West.
O Sullivan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel O Sullivan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

O Sullivan looking to pass the guard. O Sullivan sitting in guard here, content to control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jay West has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Daniel O Sullivan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
