Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Stinker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Marshall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sam Stinker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Stinker! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall doesn't manage to clinch there - Stinker circles away.
Marshall throws a jab when Stinker was well out of range. Marshall has Stinker up against the cage in a clinch.

Marshall prevents a body shot from Stinker. Stinker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marshall pulls him back up using the underhooks. Marshall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marshall looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marshall throws a combination. Stinker tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Marshall fails with the takedown. Marshall wants to clinch up but Stinker keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Marshall misses with a series of wild punches.
Marshall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Marshall manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Marshall seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Stinker postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Marshall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stinker, into his guard. Marshall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stinker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marshall has managed to get both his arms back between Stinker's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall throws a big elbow that misses. Marshall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marshall with a nice head shot there. Stinker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marshall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Marshall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Marshall keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stinker's head. Stinker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Marshall is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Stinker has his foot on Marshall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marshall works his way back into a safe position though. Marshall scoring with some ground and pound. Marshall is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stinker is looking for a triangle but Marshall pushes his legs off easily.
Marshall content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Marshall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. This has been an exciting period of action! Marshall with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marshall lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Marshall dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Marshall is looking to clinch but Stinker is avoiding it.
Marshall avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marshall throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Marshall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marshall scores with a punch to the head. Stinker tries to bum rush Marshall with a series of wild strikes but Marshall uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stinker circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall has taken the fight to the clinch.
Marshall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stinker throws a right and a left that both miss. Ben Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stinker keeps the fight on the outside. Stinker takes one on the button. Marshall gets a clinch. Marshall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Marshall closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Stinker! Marshall dives in looking to finish! Stinker is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Marshall!
