And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crain moves to clinch but Navarro breaks away
and Navarro counters with an outside leg kick.
Crain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Crain takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Crain thows a left - swing and a miss!
Navarro swats away the attempt to clinch by Crain.
Navarro with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Navarro misses with a low kick.
Navarro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crain moves away.
Crain takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Navarro throws a leg kick which misses Crain's front leg but catches the back leg as Crain tries to avoid it.

Crain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Navarro throws a good cross that connects.
Navarro connects with an inside leg kick.
Navarro feints and then cracks Crain's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Crain down.
Navarro lands a front kick.
Navarro throws a hook to the side of Crain's head but Crain sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Crain's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Navarro keeps the fight on the outside.
Crain takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Crain blocks a low kick nicely.

Crain clinches up against the cage.
Navarro misses with a hook to the ribs.
Crain lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Navarro struggles to land a body shot inside as Crain controls his hands.
Crain is working for takedown but Navarro is calmly controlling the position for now.
Navarro wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Crain has him pressed against the cage.
Navarro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Navarro tries to work over Crain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Navarro is trying to push Crain away but Crain has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Navarro goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Crain tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Navarro avoids it.

Crain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Crain shoots in for a takedown but Navarro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Crain is defended easily by Navarro.
Andre Navarro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Calvin Crain.
Crain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Navarro tries to avoid it but Crain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Navarro to the ground. Navarro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Crain turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Crain manages to end up in side control.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Navarro regains half guard there - taking advantage of Crain's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Crain is trying to control. Navarro wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Navarro is staying active underneath Crain, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Calvin Crain.
Crain needs to keep his hands up - Navarro had a free shot at his head there.
Crain shoots in and drives through. Navarro sprawls well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Navarro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crain moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Navarro as he avoids it easily.

Calvin Crain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Navarro keeps the fight on the outside.
Navarro fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Crain checks it well.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Navarro lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Crain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Crain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Crain tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Navarro will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Crain tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Navarro smiles and moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
