Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arttu Mahtisaari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Zarkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erik Zarkov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahtisaari missing with a left hand there. Zarkov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mahtisaari pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Zarkov tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Mahtisaari counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Zarkov!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Zarkov takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Zarkov tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zarkov sneaks back into half guard.
Mahtisaari works his foot free and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zarkov regains half guard.

Mahtisaari looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mahtisaari prevents Zarkov from improving his position.
Mahtisaari works his way into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mahtisaari cracks Zarkov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Zarkov is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Mahtisaari landing strikes from the mount.
Zarkov takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Mahtisaari's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

A less than humble Arttu Mahtisaari misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
