Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matrim Cauthon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dack Fayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cauthon misses with the head strike.
Cauthon jumps guard and drags Fayden to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fayden has control of Cauthon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cauthon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fayden takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cauthon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fayden is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cauthon to the mat. Cauthon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fayden has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fayden is keen to just control but Cauthon is a slippery customer.
