Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Jamesion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ron Jansen! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jansen looks to clinch and Jamesion counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jamesion looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jansen! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jamesion controlling from side mount. Jamesion stands up and we're back to a striking position. Jamesion circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jansen wants to clinch up but Jamesion keeps it at a distance. Jansen tries to clinch but Jamesion moves out of range. Jamesion shoots in and gets a takedown into Jansen's guard. Jamesion is looking to work some ground and pound but Jansen has wrist control. Jamesion trying to control but Jansen is working from the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jansen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jansen looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jansen can do anything to dispel that myth. Jansen wants to stand up but Jamesion is controlling him. Jamesion seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jansen is trying to keep Jamesion in close.
Mark Jamesion has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jamesion showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jansen.
Jansen closes the distance and clinches. Jansen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jamesion is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jamesion is trying to pull guard but Jansen has him pressed against the ropes. Jansen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jamesion gets a double leg takedown into Jansen's guard. Jansen keeping moving, preventing Jamesion from controlling successfully. Jamesion stopping the sweep attempt from Jansen. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jansen wants to get back to his feet but Jamesion is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jamesion tries to free his leg and advance position but Jansen is retaining full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jansen wants to sweep here but Jamesion controlling him for the moment. Jamesion postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jansen darts in trying to clinch and Jamesion counters with a thumping low kick. Jamesion tries a head kick but it misses.
Jansen moves in looking to clinch but Jamesion pushes him off. Jansen moves into the clinch successfully.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Jansen. Jansen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jansen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jamesion gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jansen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mark Jamesion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Jansen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jamesion keeps control of Jansen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jamesion pulls guard. Jansen is stalling in the full guard. Jamesion controls Jansen momentarily but Jansen frees himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jansen preventing the sweep.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jamesion working for a triangle but Jansen defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Jamesion dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jamesion pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jamesion shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jansen but Jansen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jamesion keeps the fight on the outside. Mark Jamesion is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jamesion gets tackled into the ropes by Jansen. Jansen maintains the clinch. Jamesion breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No luck for Jansen with that takedown attempt. Jansen lands a nice shot to the body.
Jansen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jansen, as that shot connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jansen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jansen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jamesion back to the ropes. Jansen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. No joy there for Jansen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jamesion stuffs the takedown. A head kick by Jamesion misses and Jansen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jamesion thinking. Jansen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jamesion slaps away a takedown attempt from Jansen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mark Jamesion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Jansen. Jansen tries to close the distance and clinch but Jamesion swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sloppy strikes from Jansen. Those never looked like landing. Jansen looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jansen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A punch combination from Jansen misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jamesion takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jansen shoots in for a takedown but Jamesion shows good takedown defense. Jansen is breathing heavily. Jamesion avoids the head kick by Jansen.
Jansen wants to clinch but Jamesion slips to the side and Jamesion counters by clinching up. Jamesion prevents Jansen from breaking the clinch. Jamesion wants the takedown. Jansen is fighting it off but Jamesion persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jansen's guard against the ropes. This has been an exciting period of action! Jamesion working some strikes from top position. Jansen keeping moving, preventing Jamesion from controlling successfully. Jamesion gets to his feet. Jansen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Jansen is looking to clinch. Jansen tries to clinch but Jamesion is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jamesion is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jansen. Jansen lands a high kick!
Jamesion shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jamesion drives through with a takedown into Jansen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Jansen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jansen keeping moving, preventing Jamesion from controlling successfully. Jansen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jamesion wants to control from the top but Jansen keeps moving. Jansen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mark Jamesion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jamesion missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jamesion won't allow Jansen to sweep him here. Jamesion wants to control from the top but Jansen keeps moving. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jansen wants to get back to his feet but Jamesion is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mark Jamesion just wasn't active enough. Jamesion shoots in looking for a takedown. Jansen tries to sprawl out of it but Jamesion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Jansen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jamesion tries for a takedown but Jansen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jamesion doesn't manage to clinch there - Jansen circles away.
Ron Jansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jansen works over Jamesion's head and body with a nice combination. Jamesion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jansen avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Jansen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jamesion's face. Jamesion staggers backwards, shaken. Jamesion changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jansen tries to avoid it but Jamesion manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jansen to the ground. Jansen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Jansen. Jansen lands a head kick. Jamesion smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Sloppy strikes from Jansen. Those never looked like landing. Jansen moves in looking to clinch but Jamesion pushes him off. Jamesion tries to clinch there but Jansen circles away.

Jamesion shoots in for a double leg but Jansen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jansen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jansen throws a series of punches but Jamesion moves out of range. Jansen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jamesion, pushing him back against the ropes. Jansen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jamesion wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jansen has him pressed against the ropes. Jansen is trying to break free. Jansen is trying to pull guard but Jamesion turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Jansen is looking to break free of the clinch but Jamesion has double underhooks. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Jamesion tries to throw a body punch but Jansen avoids it by throwing Jamesion back against the ropes. Jamesion jumps guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jamesion is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jansen preventing the sweep. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jamesion keeping moving, preventing Jansen from controlling successfully. Jansen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jamesion haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Jamesion looking to control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ron Jansen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Jamesion has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jamesion tries a head kick but it misses.
Jansen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jamesion's head backwards. Jansen is looking to clinch but Jamesion is avoiding it.
Jansen lands a right hook to the body.
Jamesion shoots in for a takedown but Jansen shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Jamesion. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jansen lands a lovely overhand right. Jansen throws a series of strikes that have Jamesion backpedaling.
Jansen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jamesion circles away. Jamesion fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jansen throws a right and a left that both miss. Jansen has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Jansen throws a right hand that Jamesion ducks under and follows up with a left that Jamesion also avoids with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jansen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jansen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jansen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jamesion takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Jamesion tries to clinch up but Jansen circles away and keeps his distance. Jansen lands a nice looking body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Ron Jansen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jansen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
