Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Majd Laila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Iron has chosen Slippin as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Iron changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Laila looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laila pushes The Iron away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, The Iron gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
You can see the frustration on Laila's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Laila knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Iron on the ground.

The Iron wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Laila, who protects the arm well.

Laila tries to buck The Iron off but The Iron is having none of it.

The Iron is working to tighten is grip on Laila's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Laila has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but The Iron is really squeezing tight and eventually Laila passes out! The Iron breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
