Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Jeckyll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Bran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeff Jeckyll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Bran!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jeckyll drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Jeckyll got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bran has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jeckyll has managed to get both his arms back between Bran's legs - danger averted.
Jeckyll will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bran has control of Jeckyll's left arm, preventing Jeckyll from doing any damage.
Jeckyll trying to control the position from guard on top but Bran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jeckyll passes Bran's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jeckyll trying to pass the guard but Bran defending well.
Bran wants to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bran is looking to escape.
Jeckyll perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jeckyll moves into full mount! Bran won't be happy about that!
Bran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jeckyll. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bran can't escape the position.
Jeckyll takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jeckyll looking to control but Bran is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jeff Jeckyll.

Jeckyll shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jeckyll was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jeckyll has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jeckyll can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bran is looking to escape.
Bran is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Jeckyll has taken his back.
Bran is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jeckyll looking for the RNC.
What can Bran do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Jeckyll is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Bran won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Jeckyll off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jeff Jeckyll!
