Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Gore!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gore stuffs the takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
Diaz tries to clinch but Gore is having none of it.
Gore lands a jab to Diaz's midsection.
Diaz misses with a two punch combination.
Diaz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gore shoots in and bounces Diaz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gore in particular looking to stall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gore is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Diaz sees it coming and defends easily.

Gore looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Diaz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gore with a couple of short strikes.
Gore loads up with a big shot that hurts Diaz! He's pulled Gore in close but Gore has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Diaz survive? More strikes from Gore and Diaz is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Frank Gore!
A relieved looking Frank Gore thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
