PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Simon Fry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Fry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ted Miller!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller keeps the fight on the outside.
Fry lands with a slapping head kick.
Fry wants to clinch.
Fry moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Miller misses with a leg kick
and Fry counters with a nice low kick that buckles Miller's knee momentarily.
Miller looks for the body kick but Fry saw that one coming.
Fry lands an overhand right.

Fry has closed the distance and engaged Miller in a clinch.
Miller is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Miller should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fry closes the distance and pushes Miller back into the cage.
Fry using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Miller has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fry pushes Miller back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Fry breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fry lands a big head kick that sends Miller tumbling to the mat! Fry takes a step backwards and waves Miller back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Miller is rocked!
Fry lets loose with a powerful body kick. Miller will feel that in the morning.
Miller is still on wobbly legs! Can Fry finish him?
Simon Fry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fry has Miller up against the cage in a clinch.
Fry comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Fry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fry lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

and Miller counters by clinching up.
Miller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fry pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Fry lands a knee to the body.

Fry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miller tries for a takedown but Fry sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Simon Fry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Miller.
Fry lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Miller crumples to the floor! Fry milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
