Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akis Karakantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Hinderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Akis Karakantes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Hinderson!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hinderson clinches up with Karakantes and pushes him back against the cage.
Karakantes looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Hinderson jumps guard and drags Karakantes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hinderson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hinderson wants to sweep here but Karakantes controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hinderson is on top in guard.
Hinderson stays in close to Karakantes's body and controls the position.
Hinderson trying to control but Karakantes is working from the bottom.
Hinderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karakantes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Karakantes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Karakantes tries to get out of the position.

Daniel Hinderson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hinderson moves into range and clinches up with Karakantes.

Hinderson has clasped his hands together around Karakantes's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Karakantes pushes Hinderson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hinderson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hinderson takes a little break here. Karakantes wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
