Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Herero!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herero closes the distance and clinches up with Moss, looking for a takedown. Herero pushes Moss against the cage but Moss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Moss stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moss wants it to stay on the feet.
Herero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moss but Moss pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bill Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Herero.

Moss has closed the distance and engaged Herero in a clinch.

Moss pulls guard effortlessly.
Herero stopping the sweep attempt from Moss.
Moss seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Moss is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Herero is controlling him.

Herero is fighting to break Moss's control of his arms but Moss is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bill Moss.

and Moss counters with a series of strikes. Herero will be more careful next time no doubt.
Moss tries to land a leg kick but Herero saw it coming and moves away.
Herero lands a nice hook to Moss's body. Moss takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Moss throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Herero tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Moss is in Herero's guard.

Moss seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bill Moss wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Moss feints and as Herero raises his hands in defense, Moss changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Moss is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Moss stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Herero swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Moss gets to his feet - Herero follows without any prompting.

Moss darts in and clinches Herero up against the cage.
Herero avoids a wild elbow strike from Moss.
Herero throws a punch but it's blocked by Moss.

Moss wants the takedown. Herero is fighting it off but Moss persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Herero's guard against the cage.
Moss missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Moss tries to free his leg and advance position but Herero is retaining full guard.
Moss lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Moss looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moss's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We're going to have a standup here because Bill Moss wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Herero is looking to control Moss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Herero avoid being mounted?
Well, if Moss is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Herero is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Herero moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Herero is breathing heavily.

Herero pushes Moss off and scrambles back to his feet.
Moss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Moss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Moss is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moss wants to sweep here but Herero controlling him for the moment.

and Moss counters with a shoot takedown. Herero fights it but they end up in guard.

Moss fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Herero sprawls well initially but Moss persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Herero is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Moss scores with a couple of nice shots.
Still in half guard, Moss seems content to control.
Herero is looking to control Moss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Herero avoid being mounted?
Moss lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Moss looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Herero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Moss is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Herero can do to turn this around?

Moss shoots in and bounces Herero off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Herero is trying to keep Moss in close.

Herero is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moss defends well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Moss is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Moss shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Herero's guard.

Herero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moss circles away quickly and effectively.
