Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Plouman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Good leg kick by Plouman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Plouman avoids the body shot from Jackson.

Plouman closes the distance and clinches.
Plouman tries to circle away but Jackson has him pinned against the cage.

Jackson manages to break the clinch.
Plouman wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Plouman slips the punch.
Plouman lands with a thumping leg kick.
Plouman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Plouman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Andre Jackson will probably get the nod.

Plouman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Plouman takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Plouman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Plouman is trying to escape the position but Jackson is controlling the position.

Jackson looks up at the clock and then as Plouman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jackson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.

Plouman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Jackson is trying to trip Plouman. He has hold of a leg but Plouman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jackson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plouman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.
Plouman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
