Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boozan Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Nightcall. Vincent Cole has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Boozan Alves's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boozan Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vincent Cole! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves shoots and misses letting Cole counter with a right hand. Cole swings away with a body shot that misses
and Alves counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cole's guard now. Cole preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Alves trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom. Alves drops back looking for a leg! Cole is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cole manages to kick Alves off! Alves jumps back into Cole's guard. Alves looking to pass the guard. Cole wants to stand and escape but Alves is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alves has gone for a leg lock! Cole slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alves's guard. Cole looking to pass the guard. Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Alves is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cole defends well. Cole passes Alves's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alves has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cole is working away from the top position though. Cole wants to stand but Alves has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Alves is looking for a sweep. Cole is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cole lands strikes from half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cole moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Alves. Cole working the head and body with strikes. Cole tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Cole throws an elbow but Alves slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cole scoring with punches from side control. Alves tries to buck Cole off but Cole is having none of it. Alves taking punishment in the form of punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alves is looking for a sweep. Cole wants to stand but Alves is controlling his arm. Alves gets back to half guard. Alves trying to control from the bottom.
Cole trying to control the action but Alves is working from the bottom. Alves moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole trying to stand up but can't free himself from Alves's guard. Alves is trying to keep Cole in close.
Cole stays in close to Alves's body and controls the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alves looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Alves trying to keep a closed guard but Cole is proving a slippery customer.
Cole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alves swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cole throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boozan Alves dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cole ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alves moves away. Cole fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alves manages to avoid it. Cole throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cole misses with a wild body shot. Alves moves forwards but Cole connects with a nice, crisp jab. Cole misses with a kick to the body.
Vincent Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alves moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Cole. Alves does a little dance to reset his feet. Cole misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Alves fails with the takedown. Alves ducks under a wild hook from Cole. Cole misses with a low kick.
Alves throws a hook but Cole blocks it. Cole throws a leg kick and Alves counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Cole wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole tries to break the clinch but Alves is controlling the position. Cole wants to get back to striking at distance but Alves won't allow it.
Cole is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Alves jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cole walks away with a smile on his face. Alves gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cole is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Alves rather than just go for the knockout. Cole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Alves. Cole throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cole staying out of range there. Cole tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Alves is able to avoid easily. Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cole moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A bone on bone clash there as Cole blocks the leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fighters circling - Alves throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Cole takes a swing at Alves's ribcage but misses. Cole tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alves swats him away and circles back towards the center. A shot to the liver by Cole. Beautiful body shot. A telegraphed right hand from Cole misses the target. Cole misses with a lunging right hand
and Alves counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cole won't be happy with that. Cole tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Alves. Alves tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cole pushes Alves away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Alves gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alves tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alves has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Alves working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Boozan Alves will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Cole throws a lazy right hand but Alves sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Alves looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Alves misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cole throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cole lands a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Alves tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cole is in Alves's guard. Alves trying to keep a closed guard but Cole is proving a slippery customer.
Cole must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cole wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving. Boozan Alves overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Alves is looking for a triangle but Cole pushes his legs off easily.
Cole lands a couple of elbows. Alves keeping full guard, as Cole tries to pass. Cole is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves is trying to keep Cole in close.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cole landing with the ground and pound.
Alves is rocked! Cole missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Alves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cole. Cole postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Alves looking for a sweep. Not yet Alves, not yet. Alves has momentary wrist control but Cole slips an elbow through the middle. Oh Alves is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Alves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cole. Alves seems to have got his legs back now. Alves trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole lands a couple of elbows. Cole trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cole missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Alves is trying to keep Cole in close.
Alves is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Alves looking to control.
Cole has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alves is proving hard to escape from. Cole wants to pass the guard but Alves is keeping the position. Boozan Alves is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alves pulls Cole in to control the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Alves keeping full guard, as Cole tries to pass. Alves looking to control.
Boozan Alves has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Alves uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cole. Cole throws a shot from downtown. Alves moves away and avoids it. Cole misses with a wild body shot. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice body punch from Cole. Cole scores with a decent looking hook.
And that's the end of the fight! Vincent Cole comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Alves has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
