Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Da Silva! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Da Silva tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Da Silva to the ground. Da Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Da Silva takes the fight into the clinch. Diaz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Da Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks. Diaz lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Da Silva looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Diaz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Da Silva's head. Da Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Da Silva. Da Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Diaz defends it easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz stopping the sweep attempt from Da Silva.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Da Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Da Silva on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Diaz wasn't doing enough on the ground. Diaz lands a slapping body shot.
Diaz tries to clinch up and Da Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Da Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Da Silva has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Diaz can't escape the position.
Diaz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz is looking to get to half guard. Da Silva looking for a guillotine from mount but Diaz is having none of it. Da Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Diaz is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Diaz tries to improve his position but instead Da Silva has taken his back! Da Silva keeps control of the position as Diaz tries to break free.
Da Silva has his arm under Diaz's chin here. Game over son! Da Silva squeezes tightly and Diaz is forced to tap out!
