The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Da Silva tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Da Silva to the ground. Da Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Da Silva takes the fight into the clinch.
Diaz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Da Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Diaz lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Da Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Diaz defends it easily.
