Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mati King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Won Woo Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kwon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: History. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mati King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Won Woo Kwon! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King clinches with his opponent.
Kwon goes for a takedown attempt but King pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kwon checks a low kick from King. King gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kwon can't get the takedown.
King works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. King is looking to stand up but Kwon won't let him. Kwon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kwon is looking for a triangle but King pushes his legs off easily.
King wants to get up but he can't break Kwon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kwon looking for a guillotine here but King defends easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kwon lands a good elbow from the bottom. King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kwon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

King decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. King gets in close and instigates a clinch. A short left from Kwon. King gets control of Kwon's arms and successfully pulls guard. King will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kwon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kwon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! King is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kwon, into his guard. Kwon trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Kwon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kwon pushes a forearm under King's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, King is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Won Woo Kwon! Won Woo Kwon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
