Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Colombo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colombo has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. John Flare could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Franco Colombo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, John Flare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Franco Colombo! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flare throws a right hand that Colombo ducks under and follows up with a left that Colombo also avoids with ease. Colombo darts in trying to clinch letting Flare counter with a right hand. Flare looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Flare does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Flare clinches up with Colombo and pushes him back against the cage. Colombo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Flare.
Flare could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Flare gets underhooks to prevent Colombo's takedown attempt.
Colombo is looking for a takedown. Flare pulls guard effortlessly. Flare trying to keep a closed guard but Colombo is proving a slippery customer.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Flare is on top in guard.
Colombo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flare. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flare looking to sit in guard and control but Colombo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Colombo wants to control from the top but Flare keeps moving. Flare wants to sweep here but Colombo controlling him for the moment. Colombo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Flare has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Colombo is looking to defend but Flare has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Colombo! Flare pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Colombo taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). John Flare!
