Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki has chosen Nina simone - Feeling good as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shinya Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Aoki or perhaps it was just good defense by Nelson which made him look bad.
Aoki shoots in and bounces Nelson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Aoki won't allow Nelson to sweep him here.
Aoki looking to pass the guard.
Aoki trying to control but Nelson is working from the bottom.
Aoki controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aoki passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aoki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aoki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nelson gets back to half guard.
Nelson is pressing down on Aoki's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Aoki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Nelson has momentary wrist control but Aoki slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nelson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Aoki is wriggling around trying to escape.
Aoki wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Nelson.
Aoki really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Nelson tries to control but Aoki wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aoki slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Nelson trying to control the action but Aoki is working from the bottom.
Aoki gets full guard.
Aoki looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Aoki pulls Nelson in close to prevent any damage.
Aoki is striking off his back. Nelson thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Aoki is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aoki wants to get back to full guard.
Aoki is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Nelson is pressing down on Aoki's thigh, looking to free his foot. Aoki is holding on for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Aoki is trying to maintain the position but Nelson is very close to passing his half guard.
Nelson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shinya Aoki dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nelson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Aoki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nelson is working away from the top position though.
Aoki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Aoki.
Aoki has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nelson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Aoki.
Nelson is working to tighten is grip on Aoki's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Aoki has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nelson is really squeezing tight and eventually Aoki passes out! Nelson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Adam Nelson!
