Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Manny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wesley Cardoso!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manny moves out of range as Cardoso throws a body kick.
Manny looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Cardoso darts in and clinches Manny up against the cage.
Cardoso breaks from the clinch.
Cardoso pushes Manny up against the cage in a clinch.
Cardoso pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cardoso fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Manny looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cardoso connects with a body shot that sends Manny's belly button to the back.
Cardoso moves into the clinch.
Cardoso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cardoso forces Manny back against the cage and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Cardoso tries a knee to the head but Manny blocks it.
Cardoso turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cardoso decides to stand back up. Cardoso steps back and let's Manny get back to his feet.
Cardoso drives through and clinches with Manny against the cage.
Cardoso lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Cardoso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cardoso dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cardoso pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cardoso throws a head kick that misses.
Wesley Cardoso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cardoso takes the fight into the clinch.
Cardoso landing knees to the head.
Cardoso breaks the clinch.
Manny takes one on the button.
Cardoso rushes Manny and presses him up against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cardoso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cardoso closes the distance and clinches.
Cardoso lands a hook to the side of the head.

Cardoso wants to stand up but Manny has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Manny trying to hold on to Cardoso's head to control him but Cardoso postures up.
Cardoso seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Cardoso is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cardoso clinches up against the cage.

Cardoso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cardoso scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Cardoso drives through and clinches with Manny against the cage.

Cardoso jumps guard.
Cardoso has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Manny doesn't defend quickly enough and Cardoso has managed to lock this one up! Can Manny escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cardoso on a fantastic submission victory.
