Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Destroyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Destroyer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Destroyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Doug McDonald! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Destroyer. McDonald pushes Destroyer away with a front kick. Destroyer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McDonald sprawls well. McDonald wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Destroyer gets slowly back to his feet. Destroyer fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Destroyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDonald throws a head kick that misses. Destroyer has a takedown stuffed. Destroyer has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McDonald.
That's one minute gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for McDonald. Destroyer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McDonald but McDonald pushes him off and we're back to square one. McDonald throws a body kick that misses. McDonald displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Destroyer. Destroyer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Destroyer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Destroyer lands in his opponent's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. McDonald has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Destroyer sitting in guard, not really doing much. McDonald is trying to control the position but Destroyer postures up. Destroyer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Destroyer trying to control the position from guard on top but McDonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Destroyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDonald swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. McDonald scores with a kick to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McDonald scoring well with a low kick there.
McDonald gets caught flat footed, as Destroyer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Destroyer controlling from the top position. McDonald looking to control.
Destroyer has gone for a leg lock! McDonald slips out almost immediately though and dives into Destroyer's guard. McDonald postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Destroyer working for submissions but it's allowed McDonald to get to half guard.
McDonald not doing much here.
Destroyer tries to roll over but McDonald keeps him under control. Destroyer wants to sweep but McDonald has passed to side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McDonald wants to lay and pray for a moment but Destroyer keeps working. Destroyer tries to bench press McDonald off him but McDonald keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Doug McDonald will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McDonald stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McDonald wants it to stay on the feet. Destroyer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McDonald throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Destroyer has a takedown stuffed. Destroyer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Destroyer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Destroyer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McDonald is fending him off so far but Destroyer persists. Nope, McDonald circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Destroyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Destroyer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. McDonald chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDonald punishes Destroyer's body with a nice straight punch. McDonald lands with a nice combination. Destroyer backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Joe Destroyer has been cut. Destroyer is trying hard to land a takedown here. McDonald sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A chopping leg kick lands by McDonald. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McDonald connects with a solid leg kick. McDonald scores with a decent looking hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Destroyer on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McDonald. McDonald obviously looking to wear him down.
McDonald throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
McDonald lands with a kick to the temple. Destroyer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Destroyer is rocked! Destroyer shoots in and drives through. McDonald sprawls well. Oh Destroyer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Destroyer gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
