Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikee Hayabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hajime no Ipo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikee Hayabusa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hajime no Ipo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikee Hayabusa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hajime no Ipo!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayabusa has a takedown stuffed.

Hayabusa gets a takedown into half guard.

Hayabusa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hayabusa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. no Ipo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hayabusa.
Hayabusa trying to control the action but no Ipo is working from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's one minute gone in the round.
no Ipo is trying to maintain the position but Hayabusa is very close to passing his half guard.

Hayabusa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

no Ipo is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hayabusa pulls his head out easily.
Hayabusa is trying to control the action in half guard but no Ipo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
no Ipo tries for a takedown but Hayabusa circles away easily

and Hayabusa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

no Ipo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hayabusa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hayabusa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
no Ipo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
no Ipo trying to control the position.
Hayabusa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hayabusa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
no Ipo throws a hook but Hayabusa avoids it easily.
no Ipo misses with a takedown attempt

and Hayabusa counters with a takedown into side control.
no Ipo tries to buck Hayabusa off but Hayabusa is having none of it.
Hayabusa throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
no Ipo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hayabusa's best efforts.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
no Ipo wants to get back to full guard.
no Ipo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
no Ipo looks gassed!

Hayabusa is trying to work for a kimura but no Ipo is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hayabusa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. no Ipo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hayabusa.
Hayabusa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed no Ipo's head.
Hayabusa tries to pass to full mount but no Ipo defends it.
no Ipo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hayabusa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hayabusa's back!

no Ipo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hayabusa has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
no Ipo lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Hayabusa hold on?!
Hayabusa manages to reverse the position and now he's in no Ipo's guard. Nice work there by Hayabusa.

Hayabusa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hayabusa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

no Ipo looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hayabusa is defending well. no Ipo quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hayabusa has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! no Ipo celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hajime no Ipo!
