Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Kosugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ichiro Kosugi! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kosugi throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones tries to break the clinch but Kosugi is controlling the position. Kosugi tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kosugi darts in trying to clinch and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kosugi regains full guard. Nicely done. Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kosugi keeps working. You can see the frustration on Kosugi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kosugi regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Nice strikes from Jones there. Kosugi tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Jones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jones is looking to advance position but Kosugi won't allow it. Kosugi is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kosugi is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kosugi is looking to stand back up but Jones counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kosugi. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kosugi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kosugi wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Kosugi is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is pressing down on Kosugi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kosugi is holding on for now. Kosugi scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jones manages to mount him!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones with shots to the head and body - Kosugi looks very uncomfortable down there. Kosugi is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jones looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
It looks like Ichiro Kosugi has been cut. Jones landing punches. Jones tries to control but Kosugi wriggling away. Jones working the ground and pound effectively.
Kosugi is rocked!
The cut above Ichiro Kosugi's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ichiro Kosugi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Paul Jones! Our winner, Paul Jones, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
