Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Gatti III (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatti III comes to the cage accompanied by Black Milk & Royce 5'9 - Losing out. Power has chosen Max is coming, better be ready... as his entrance music. Max Power told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatti III ducks under a wild hook from Power.
Power connects with a leg kick. Gatti III looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gatti III moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A punch lands to the side of Power 's head but he takes it in his stride.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Power stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Gatti III shoots in looking for a takedown but Power manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gatti III's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Power tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Power is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gatti III had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gatti III bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Power's guard.

Power working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gatti III doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gatti III manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Max Power showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Max Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gatti III is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Power lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gatti III!
Power takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gatti III is looking to improve his position but Power isn't that keen on the idea.
Gatti III sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Power is working for a kimura but Gatti III is defending it quite comfortably.
Power is keen to just control but Gatti III is a slippery customer.
Max Power is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Max Power comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Power has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
