Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matti Ciechu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremie Manninen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremie Manninen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manninen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Manninen wants it to stay on the feet.
Manninen keeps Ciechu at a distance using the push kick.
Ciechu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Manninen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ciechu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ciechu pushes down on Manninen's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Manninen missing with punches from the bottom.
Manninen is looking to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manninen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ciechu blocks the strikes from Manninen.
Manninen kicks off Ciechu and gets to his feet.
Manninen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ciechu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jeremie Manninen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manninen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ciechu shoots in and drives through. Manninen sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matti Ciechu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Manninen misses with a wild body shot.
Ciechu blocks a head kick by Manninen.
Manninen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ciechu on the side of the head.

Ciechu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Manninen pinned against the cage. Manninen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ciechu ducks under a wild hook from Manninen.
Ciechu takes a kick to the side of the head.
Ciechu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nice takedown defense from Manninen. No joy for Ciechu on that attempt.
Manninen misses with a straight left.
Ciechu moves out of range of the body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Manninen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ciechu manages to avoid it.
Manninen tries a head kick but it misses.
Manninen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ciechu feints and as Manninen raises his hands in defense, Ciechu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manninen lands a decent punch to the body there.
Ciechu works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ciechu content to control rather than advance.
Ciechu is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Manninen!
Manninen tries to improve his position but Ciechu has taken his back! Ciechu has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Manninen tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Ciechu pushes Manninen away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Matti Ciechu!
