Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rik McRae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whonjon William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRae kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slipknot - Before I Forget. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Rik McRae! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Whonjon William! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McRae tries to score with a low kick but William moves his leg out of the way. McRae just misses with a punch to the body.
McRae thows a body shot but no joy. McRae dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on William. That did some damage! William tries to clinch but McRae is having none of it. McRae motions for William to come forward. McRae throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. William scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. William trying to control the action but McRae is working from the bottom. McRae trying to control but William postures up.
McRae looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. William prevents McRae from improving his position. William lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. William moves nicely into side control. McRae sneaks back into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. McRae manages to regain full guard. Nice work. McRae looking for submissions from the bottom but instead William passes into half guard.
William is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McRae doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time William. William trying to pass the guard but McRae defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McRae is looking for a sweep. William is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. William wants to lay and pray for a moment but McRae keeps working. William takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. William passes to full mount! William working the ground and pound effectively.
This has been an exciting period of action! William looking to control but McRae is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. McRae is in all sorts of trouble here.
William jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McRae manages to avoid the submission attempt. William trying to control the position but McRae is working away. McRae is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McRae is looking to regain half guard here but William keeps moving and retains side control. McRae manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! McRae throwing shots but William is blocking nicely. William gets back to full guard.
McRae trying to control but William is working from the bottom. McRae loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. William looking to control.
William had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McRae defends it easily. William has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McRae can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. McRae trying to control the position from guard on top but William is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McRae is pushing down on William's leg trying to pass to half guard. William is fighting to maintain full guard but McRae has managed to sneak the leg through. McRae looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McRae throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. William wants to get back to full guard. William is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. McRae working the head and body with strikes. William wants to improve his position but McRae is controlling well.
McRae is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McRae is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for William! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Whonjon William will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Some wild striking there from McRae.
McRae throws a leg kick but William moved away. McRae lands with an overhand left. McRae throws a sloppy body shot
and William counters with a leg kick. McRae throws a leg kick but William sees it coming and checks it nicely. McRae misses with a low kick. Rik McRae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. William tries for a takedown but McRae circles away easily and William takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McRae misses with an uppercut. William does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. McRae lands with an uppercut that bounces William off the cage and back into range.
That's one minute gone in the round. McRae swings for the body but William moves out of range.
William fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McRae has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. McRae has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McRae there as he acknowledges the shot. William changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McRae looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McRae is trying to get back to half guard. William cracks McRae with a big elbow. William wants to control but McRae is keeping him busy. McRae takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. McRae manages to get back to half guard. McRae is not content to let William control the position. William lands strikes from half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! McRae is pressing down on William's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. McRae avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McRae working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. William doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. William manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. William keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McRae's head. William stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McRae swivels though and keeps the full guard. William working some strikes from top position. McRae looking to control.
McRae looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McRae has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but William can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. William sitting in guard here, content to control. William lands a couple of decent looking shots. McRae has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but William has passed into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. William lands a decent elbow from side control. William advances to mount. William raining down shots from the mount! William with the ground and pound from mount. William controlling from the full mount. McRae sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! William works his way into side control. McRae manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! William moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. William is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. William might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McRae haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. William tries to land a sweep but no joy. McRae missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. McRae throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. William keeping moving, preventing McRae from controlling successfully. McRae working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. McRae trying to control the position from guard on top but William is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McRae passes William's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Whonjon William showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The fighters circling - McRae throws out the jab but it was never going to land. William moves out of range of the body kick from McRae.
McRae swings for the body but William moves out of range.
William bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. McRae throws a hook to the side of William's head but William sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McRae fails to land with a series of punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts William, as that shot connected.
William connects with a jab. William checks a low kick from McRae. William fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. McRae throws a low kick, looking for William's leg but William calmly moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. McRae takes a swing at William's ribcage but misses. William throws a body punch but McRae moves out of range. McRae swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McRae misses with a hook. McRae takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. McRae misses with a body shot.
William throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McRae tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. William is in McRae's guard. McRae looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
William keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McRae's head. William lands a couple of elbows. William controls the pace of the fight for a moment. McRae tries to strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. William wants to control from the top but McRae keeps moving. McRae is looking for a triangle but William pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! William stopping the sweep attempt from McRae. William looking to pass the guard. William is in close to McRae's body, working some short punches and elbows. William trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McRae wants to sweep here but William controlling him for the moment. William with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. William preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. William landing with the ground and pound. Rik McRae has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hammerfist, elbow! yells William's corner. There ya go! There ya go! McRae keeping moving, preventing William from controlling successfully. William postures up.
William looking to pass the guard. William postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. William thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McRae is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. William stays in close to McRae's body and controls the position.

McRae looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Whonjon William has got the better of the ground game so far. McRae throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. McRae is looking to sweep but instead, William has passed into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. McRae looking for submissions off his back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Well, if William is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. William is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McRae has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that's the end of the fight! Whonjon William comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got William winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
