McRae comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slipknot - Before I Forget kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tom Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Rik McRae!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands an overhand right.
McRae with a nice cross.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones scoring with punches to the head and body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McRae looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McRae has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McRae is in close to Jones's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Jones wants to control but McRae is having none of it.
McRae has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

McRae is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by McRae!
