Smirnov comes to the cage accompanied by New Tone – Run. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smirnov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smirnov dips to his left and cracks Vitor with an uppercut!
Vitor is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Vitor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vitor walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A cross from Smirnov lands.
Smirnov tries to clinch up.
Vitor slips under a jab.
Vitor connects with a looping right hand.
Smirnov misses with an uppercut
and Vitor makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Smirnov is breathing heavily.

Vitor lands a left and a right that send Smirnov crashing to the mat, dazed. Vitor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Smirnov is rocked!

It looks like Slava Smirnov has been cut.
Vitor plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Smirnov swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Smirnov face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
