Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Songhua Brick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gatete Omondi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatete Omondi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Songhua Brick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gatete Omondi! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brick misses with a double jab.
Omondi closes the distance and clinches. Omondi tries to score a body lock takedown but Brick shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Brick pulls Omondi into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Omondi passes Brick's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Brick could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Brick wants to control but Omondi is keeping busy.
Omondi wants to pass the guard but Brick is defending well. Brick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brick tries to get out of the position. Brick is staying active underneath Omondi, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Omondi tries to pass to full mount but Brick defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brick is not content to let Omondi control the position. Omondi works his way into side control. Brick is not content to let Omondi control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Omondi cracks Brick with an elbow. That is naaassty. Omondi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brick keeps working. Brick is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Omondi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Omondi trying to control the action but Brick is working from the bottom. Brick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Omondi on the ground. Brick is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Omondi has an Americana. Brick didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Omondi is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Omondi hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gatete Omondi!
