Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tank Goldman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jelly Tanglib!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldman dives in and grabs Tanglib's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tanglib pushes down on Goldman's head and hops out.
Goldman closes the distance and pushes Tanglib back into the cage.
Tanglib tries to circle away but Goldman has him pinned against the cage.
Tanglib pulls Goldman into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Goldman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Goldman gets to his feet. Tanglib looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Goldman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Goldman moves into the clinch.
Goldman has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tanglib clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Tanglib is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Goldman lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Goldman has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Tanglib wants to get back to his feet.
Goldman is riding his opponent, not letting Tanglib buck him off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goldman is looking for the choke from the back position but Tanglib is controlling his hands well.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Goldman. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Goldman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Goldman is looking for a choke. Tanglib gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Tanglib manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Goldman is trying to control the position but Tanglib postures up.

Tanglib wants to stand but Goldman has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Goldman looking for subs off his back but Tanglib has passed one foot through into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tanglib stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Goldman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tanglib counters with a series of strikes. Goldman will be more careful next time no doubt.

Tanglib works Goldman's body with a nice hook.
Tank Goldman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tanglib dodges the punch combination from Goldman.

and Tanglib counters with a right hand to the body.

We're going to have a standup here because Tank Goldman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Goldman shoots in looking for a takedown. Tanglib tries to sprawl out of it but Goldman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tanglib manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Goldman blocks a head kick by Tanglib.

Goldman closes the distance and clinches up with Tanglib, looking for a takedown. Goldman pushes Tanglib against the cage but Tanglib circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Goldman shoots in for a takedown but Tanglib shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Goldman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tanglib can't fight it off and eventually Goldman manages to take the fight to the floor. Tanglib looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Goldman looking to sit in guard and control but Tanglib gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Goldman wants to sweep here but Tanglib controlling him for the moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Goldman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tanglib tries to avoid it but Goldman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tanglib to the ground. Tanglib escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Goldman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tanglib paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tanglib shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tanglib was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jelly Tanglib has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Goldman with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Tanglib can't handle though.
Tanglib wanted to stand there but Goldman had control of the position.
Tank Goldman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tanglib loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
