Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tj Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongolia Heed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heed has chosen Gentlelman as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tj Shields! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mongolia Heed! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Heed throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shields was covering up waiting for the punch and Heed finishes the takedown easily into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Shields looking for a guillotine here but Heed defends easily.
Shields throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Shields working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Heed. Heed makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Heed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shields. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Heed with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Shields keeping moving, preventing Heed from controlling successfully. Shields throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Shields wants to sweep but no luck. Heed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Shields tries to strike from the bottom.
Heed trying to control but Shields is working from the bottom. Shields preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Heed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shields is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shields working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Shields is working for a submission of some sort.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shields connects with a nice short shot to Heed's temple. Shields wants to free his trapped foot but Heed is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heed is trying to get back to full guard. Heed blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shields. Heed wants to get back to his feet. Shields has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shields not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Shields uses his free foot to push down on Heed's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Heed. Shields landing punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shields sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Shields is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Heed can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Shields has hold of Heed's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Heed manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Heed wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Heed covering up well under a series of strikes from Shields. Shields controlling well, preventing Heed from escaping the position.
Heed defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Shields is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Heed is defending well though. Shields let's go of the attempt for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tj Shields dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Shields steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Heed. Heed fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shields uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Heed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heed closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shields quickly recovers to half guard. Shields is looking for a sweep. Heed is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Heed missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Heed prevents Shields from improving his position. Heed throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Shields keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Shields gets full guard. Shields looking for a sweep. Not yet Shields, not yet. Shields lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Heed! Shields working for a submission but Heed is keeping him at bay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shields won't let Heed get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Shields is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Heed is forced to tap! Great finish!
