Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Bastic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Totoy Bayag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Totoy Bayag has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Adam Bastic's chin.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Totoy Bayag! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bastic tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bayag swivels and escapes. Bastic takes the fight into the clinch. Bastic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bastic goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bayag prevents it.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bayag. Bayag prevents a body shot from Bastic. Bastic is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

We're going to have a standup here because Adam Bastic wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bayag tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bastic paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bayag wants to clinch up but Bastic keeps it at a distance. Bastic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bayag manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bastic won't allow Bayag to get back to his feet. Bastic tries to free his leg and advance position but Bayag is retaining full guard. Bayag is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bastic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bastic scoring with punches to the head and body. Bayag tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bayag lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bastic! Bayag landing strikes, looking to finish! Bastic is squirming around, avoiding Bayag's attempts to control the action. Bastic keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bayag is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bastic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bastic's back! Bayag lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Bastic hold on?!
Bastic manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bayag's guard. Nice work there by Bastic.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bastic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bayag wants to stand and escape but Bastic is having none of it. Totoy Bayag is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bayag trying to stall but Bastic improves his position.
Bastic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bayag moves to clinch but Bastic breaks away and Bastic counters with a three punch combo that has Bayag backing up. Bayag nods at Bastic to acknowledge the strikes. Bayag tries to clinch up. Bayag tries to clinch up. Bayag tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bastic moves into the clinch. Bastic breaks from the clinch.
No luck for Bastic with that takedown attempt. Bastic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Bastic. I think Bayag has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
